The TURBOCARD is used for the production of very even slivers for Open End spinning, friction spinning and pile fabrics and for the production of webs for medical use.
The card configuration, in standard working width of 1520 mm, consists of:
- Automatic volumetric chute feed or automatic gravimetric hopper feeder;
- Entry section with feed roll and shell plate or with feed roller pairs depending on fibre length;
- Carding swifts with worker/stripper pairs or fixed and self-cleaning carding sectors;
- Cleaning and blending rollers with or without worker/stripper pairs;
- Delivery section designed for single sliver (from 10 up to 18 gr/m), double sliver (from 3 up to 6 gr/m each sliver) or very even web.
Can coilers of different dimensions with automatic can change.
TURBOCARD opens, cleans, blends and parallelizes short and medium length fibres, new and/or regenerated.
The different configurations – according to the relevant applications – consist of:
1) Single card with one carding swift;
2) Double card with two carding swifts;
Sliver speed 80 to 300 m/min depending on products.

Each radiation field comprising:
- (1) Frame made of profile iron for the arrangement of three (3) radiator sets with infrared-radiation burners, (infinite regulation between 100 and 20% including mixed gas/air feed, with direct ignition and UV flame supervision, installed ready for connection.
- Device for the automatic swivelling-off and switching-off of the radiator sets in case of fabric stoppages as well as automatic reswitching when restarting the cloth transport.
- (1) Exhaust channel
with pneumatically controlled throttle flap which automatically fully opens in case of cloth stoppage and returns again to the original operation position on restart of the fabric transport.
- (3) Radial suction fans with A.C. motor [for the five (5) predryers]. The fan is supplied separately.
- (1) Central gas feeding line, completely wired and with complete piping, with the necessary regulating and safety elements including regulating valve for the output range of the radiators. The gas must be available at the machine in gaseous condition with a regulated gas pressure of 80 mbar at the machine.

- (1) Photo-electrical cell for switching-off the radiators on passage of a fabric end.
- (1) Traction roller for each predryer, with jacket of stainless steel, 5.5 inch = 140 mm diameter, complete with bearings, with polished surface, arranged at the corresponding predryer outlet.
- (1) Compensator roller pneumatically controlled. Guiding rollers of the compensator with jacket made of stainless steel, with polished surface, arranged behind the driven traction roller of the last predryer.

The delivery scope does not include:
- the exhaust air lines from the predryer to the suction fan and from this fan into the open air
